The Big Event

Our wonderful parents who helped bring all of this together.

Granma and I were looking at the rings tied into my bouquet that belonged to both of my maternal great grandmothers. Grandma Kay (Papa’s mom) is my namesake ~ Katherine ~ and GG (Granma’s mom) whom I bestowed her nickname to. Having these family heirlooms with me on my special day meant so much to me even though their owners couldn’t be there to see it.

My parents Adam and Anna both contributed more than I could’ve ever wished for to help our relationship along and supported us having the wedding of our dreams.

I am so grateful for my maternal grandparents Cindy and David aka Granma and Papa who immediately treated Sam as part of the family from the moment they met. Even going so far as to attend his college graduation 🤯🥰. It meant so much to both of us having their help making this event special.

While my siblings were a little young for the bridal party, Ashlyn and Faith were excellent as my flower girls. William and my NC boy cousins helped out as our Ushers and looked very dapper. Pictured below are my grandparents Karl and Susan (Adam’s parents) who have always graciously included Sam in our family holiday celebrations.

I love this photo of my immediate family as a whole and special individual ones with each of my siblings. William may be taller than me now but he’ll always be my goofy, ornery little brother. 💙Ashlyn💙 and 💛Faith💛 were both thrilled to be my flower girls and looked beautiful as they did.

I lucked out big time with Sam’s parents Emily and Avery as my in-laws. While it took me some time to get used to their unique family dynamics, they were always incredibly welcoming. I’m so grateful for everything they’ve done to help us in our relationship and all they did to help out with the wedding.

Middle bottom is quite the dynamic duo and our #1 go-to for double dates. Miles (Sam’s twin) is an awesome brother in law and I’m so glad he’s now engaged to Caroline. We love them so much and are so excited for their future together. They both put in Herculean efforts to make our wedding and engagement amazing so I guess it’s time to return the favor 😅

I am never going to stop talking about this summer🤗

City Project has changed my life in so many ways. From going international to walking the streets of New York to share the gospel, my faith has been pushed and grown so much. Plus, being surrounded all summer by such amazing community on fire for God is unreal. It’s been so cool to watch every single person lean into the teachings and discern God’s will for their life. I can’t wait to take everything I’ve learned into the fall and chase the Lord with my brothers and sisters in Christ!

Bogu niech będzie chwała!

The past two weeks that I spent in Poland have been some of the best weeks of my life. God is moving in such amazing ways and it was a blessing to get to witness His glory. In every friendship God displayed His love and care to me. I will never forget the wonderful people I met, and am so thankful for the new relationships I now have. To see people yearning to be with God, even when community is lacking, has impacted me so deeply. It has reminded me Jesus is our strength when we are weak and our comfort when we are alone. God is so good!
