GRACIAS 🤍FELICIDAD🤍TE AMO

here’s something society goes completely against. vulnerability. i’ve hardly lived, but the lessons i’ve learned throughout my life are far more than i could count with my fingers. being a woman has led me to learn a lot of them. and although i’m only seventeen, womanhood has proved to be quite the challenge. one that i often hesitate if it’s worth taking on. to be completely honest, it terrifies me. i want all the dresses, the skirts, the pretty jewelry and the long eyelashes, but that merely scratches the surface of the reality women face today. i’m as insecure and introverted as the next girl. i retreat into my own shell when i feel threatened or the truth slaps me right in the face. i’m as flawed and imperfect as it gets. but so is everyone else. in my opinion, no other human besides Jesus has walked the earth and lived a flawless life. and even Jesus, in all His sinless glory, faced adversities. but i do think being a woman has allowed me to see life through a different lens. a woman fights. she’s a voice for the voiceless. her heart can beat for two, three, or four other beings at the same time. she’s selfless. she finds the silver lining even when life deals her the poorest hand. she weathers the storm. she wages the war. her name gets dragged through the mud and she rises back up every single time. im so so humbled and grateful to be a woman. happy women’s day. <3
