Never done a Throwback Thursday before but figured I'd give some love to these photos from last year of my Gendo Ikari from Evangelion.

I took it out of rotation this year in pursuit of the mayhem you all have been witnessing; but do we think i should bring him back next year?

Sunday pics from @castlepointanime

Sunday was such a blast; everyone fully enjoyed both Maid and Bunny Lincoln. Even got a bit of a photoshoot in for Bunny Girl Lincoln 👀 we'll just have to all keep our eyes out for that 😘

Seeing everyone was sooooo needed, the next convention with all of you can't come soon enough 🙏

Comment if I didn't tag you, my brain is still not working lmao

Castlepoint Anime Convention- Saturday

A day full of finally reuniting with people I'd been waiting months to see again.

Also my first time partaking in a cosplay meetup, with the debut of my Kishibe from Chainsawman.

I'm a bit tired as I make this so I don't have much energy to put into this caption 😅 just wanted to get the photos from Saturday out there lol

(Content warning for mentions of depression and self-harm)

The sheer difference between the first six months and the last six months of 2025 is astounding. I go off at every chance I can about the people I've met this year and how amazing the con season was.
So let me take one opportunity to shed light on the first half of my 2025.

I need you all to understand the magnitude of the impact you all made on my life for me to be ending this year with so much love and optimism for 2026.

---

It stank, honestly. There are many factors but I have more to say than will fit in one post so let me just address the largest one

I have always had low self-worth and horrible self-image. Thinking about myself, seeing myself, just always made me angry, sad, frustrated.
"Why does that have to be me?"
"Why am I the one that is here? It should be someone better".
"Everyone else needs to get their Good Things before I can even think about deserving them".
Classic depression thoughts. I get angry that I have such stupid thoughts, and I use all that negativity to justify the low self-worth and it continues over and over.
Coupled with everything else, i struggled with self-harm (as I have many times over the years) in this year in particular. People have many reasons why they do it, but for me it was just to feel a pain i understood to distract from pain i couldn't comprehend. It only started tapering off at the end of February when, on a particularly drunken night, I went too far and, honestly, should've gone to the hospital. As I poorly treated my own wounds, my mother called me, at the behest of my roommate whom I had been drunkenly messaging. The scare i gave myself that night was already enough for me to dial it back, but the conversation I had with my mom pulled me back from the edge by quite a bit.

I then coasted on emotionally empty for a few months until RIAC, where one weekend basically changed the trajectory of the entire year.

I don't hide my mental health. I have depression and anxiety, and I REALLY really don't like myself. And I've never had the strength to pull myself up.

But you've all got me.

And these pics are the best I've ever seen myself
