WEEK 2 ✅

I’m beyond grateful for the way our community has continued to show up for what we’re doing with this experience. The love and support from fellow artists and creatives has been incredible, especially from those who’ve been willing to share their work and be part of the exhibition on such short notice. It’s honestly crazy to see people coming from so far just to experience the show and support what we’re building. Special thanks to every single artist and photographer that allowed us to show their amazing work. That kind of love means everything.

A huge thank you to the Makina Drivers Club for sponsoring this event and investing so much time, love, and support into what we’re doing. Having people who believe in the vision and are willing to stand behind it makes all the difference. We appreciate you being part of this journey and helping us continue to bring the community together.

It’s special to be surrounded by so many talented, hardworking people who help highlight the culture, cars, streets, and people that make LA what it is. Every artist brings a different perspective, and that’s what makes this community so important. We want to continue creating a space where artists can share their stories, have their voices heard, and support one another.

As we move forward, we’re excited to make the upcoming shows even more intentional and organized while continuing to give these artists the space they deserve. We wouldn’t be here without them, and LA wouldn’t be what it is without the people who capture its stories and preserve its culture.

The vision behind the bus was always to bring people together through art, culture, and community. Even though things look different now, that vision is still alive, and we’re just getting started.

We’ll be here every Saturday, continuing to showcase new work, support one another, and continuing to build that community we always sought to create.

Come through, meet the artists, experience the work, and be part of the story. Whether you’re coming from around the corner or making the trip from far away, we appreciate every single person who shows up. There’s so much more to come, and we’d love to see you there.

Huge thank you to everyone who believed in this initiative since the very beginning. This project means so much to me and my family, as well as the wonderful people throughout the community who have helped us bring it to life.
The ultimate goal has always been to nurture and protect our arts and culture in the very spaces where they’re slowly being pushed out. Los Angeles is changing, and as our neighborhoods become increasingly gentrified, it becomes even more important that we create spaces where our stories, our people, and our creativity can continue to exist and thrive.
This is bigger than a bus, bigger than an exhibition, and bigger than any one person. It’s about making sure the next generation has somewhere to go, someone to learn from, and the freedom to express themselves without feeling like they have to leave their own communities behind.
Wayside Studio has always been about bringing people together. Every artist who contributed, every person who showed up, every conversation shared, and every person who believed in this vision has helped make it what it is today.
Through this entire process I’ve ultimately learned that building something truly meaningful isn’t always easy, and the road rarely looks the way you imagined it would. But when you have a community that believes in what you’re doing, you find the strength to keep going.
I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together, and even more excited about what’s ahead. This is only the beginning.
Our culture deserves a home. Our stories deserve to be told. And our communities deserve spaces that belong to them.
Thank you for being part of the story. ❤️‍🔥

YOURE INVITED!🤎
Wayside has always been a collection of people, ideas, art, and community. Even after the bus was lost in the fire, that part of our little homemade studio never went anywhere.
On October 10th, we’re bringing some of those people together to celebrate, share some work, make some noise, and keep the story moving.
Come through, bring your friends, check out the art, support the vendors, listen to some music, and celebrate with us.
We’d really love to see you there.
October 10th • 4–8PM
1908 Griffin Ave, LA
$10 entry

Canton, Ohio barber taking the gift God gave me beyond Ohio. 💈✝️

Cutting downtown Boston with my Andis tools as an Andis Educator reminded me of something: God didn’t give us our gifts just for ourselves. He gave them to us to serve others.

Wherever this gift takes me, the mission stays the same: serve people and glorify God.
