As well as the main sessions with the tutors, we also enjoy a different ‘Industry Guest’ chat / Q&A each year. For TDOC24, we will be sitting down with @jhesterdrums, Head of Drums at @bimm_bristol . We will be chatting about James’ career prior to his current role, and also the ins & outs of heading up the drum department at such a prestigious institute 🥁💪🏻

Should be a blast!

The last couple of weeks have been seriously cool (and slightly stressful…) but I’d like to thank you everyone who’s been involved in making it a success!

✅ Headline UK tour with @kitethiefuk, playing to some great crowds with the bestest of band mates and crew.

✅ Held a drum masterclass at @bimm_bristol alongside @bradjratcliffe and @jakefogarty. Was an absolute pleasure sharing the stage and learning from these guys.

✅ Private students are continuing to kick ass with more and more people joining @acce.ntpercussion.

More to come with Kite Thief this year and generally more drums will be hit. Let’s be havin’ ya!

Wedding bands - beautiful simple bands of metal - this one being gold …

Usually I would make these from scratch but couldn’t resist the request to jazz this one up … it needed a little revamp after being worn for a few years, it was worn and a little scratched so I gave it a good filing to give it this lovely texture, the same beloved ring but with a makeover, looking good now! (swipe left to see how it started) and dm me if you have a similar project/request.

Graduated baby!!!!!👨‍🎓🍾🥂

Yesterday was one of the greatest days of my life, meeting all these wonderful people again and completed uni with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Professional Musicianship!!! A degree in which will be put to great use in my future!!! 📜🥁💙🔥

A proud and joyous day, with a teeny bit of sorrow about it being over. But now the real work begins, and I’m ready!!!

I’m so proud of myself and all my amazing friends and fellow graduates for getting to this point!!! It was a lot of stress and anxiety was at an all time high, but we did it, made it to the end with built in resilience to serve us well in the future!!!!

I’m forever grateful to all who have helped me through these tough 3 years. My parents, my sisters, my friends, my lecturers, the support team, and everyone else at @bimm_bristol !! Thank you for everything in this pretty amazing ride!! This is far from the end, it’s only the beginning!!!!

Safe to say I’m far more confident, certain, and ambitious than I was as a fresher 3 years ago. Being part of BIMM is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me!!!

Love you all💙🔥🥁🎸🎤🤘

Found a carrier bag at the back of my recording space that I’d obviously not opened from when I moved 2 years ago. When I looked all of these little memories came flooding out. Acts I’ve played in, acts I’ve toured with, acts I’ve been part of the crew, sessions I’ve done, friends I’ve spent hours with. Particularly nice to see the @dovesofficial tour book from 2009 as I listened to their new album this morning. I’d forgotten a couple of the venues I’d played in that tour.

#tbt to all these amazing people who came to celebrate our wedding this time last year in Sitges. It would not have been the same without you all and the fact that you all loved this place as much as we do really made it special 😍👨‍❤️‍👨💍
