To the amazing 13 people I was lucky to have in my class, thank you for being part of my experience in Shanghai. Each of you brought something that made me really appreciate our group and it wouldn’t have been the same without ya’ll. I really appreciated the chemistry we had as a group, I feel like we all really managed to get close with each other and I’m really glad I got to know all of you. I enjoyed spending time with each of you in and out of class and now spending everyday without ya’ll is something I unfortunately have to get used to. I walked into this program hoping to make new friends, and left the program with a bunch of close bonds and great friendships I don’t want to let go of. This program not only introduced me to some new people but it also helped me meet a lot of cool people I could really connect with and the friends I made are people you couldn’t find anywhere else. Thank you to the friends who stuck with me during the program, you all became people I could trust myself around and truly be myself. You helped make everyday in Shanghai so much better and it’s a shame that we’re all separated now. I hope that even beyond this program we can all continue to connect and stay in touch because that’s what part of the program is truly about and it would sadden me to lose those I had such a fun time with this summer. I would also like to thank my wonderful teacher and program leader. Thank you 杜老师 for helping improve my mandarin everyday and for making the class so enjoyable and thank you Aiwen for being the greatest pl watching over us and always keeping up with our shenanigans. My experience in Shanghai wouldn’t have been the same without the guidance of you two everyday and I am so very appreciative. Thank you to all who helped make my summer so valuable. Thank you for helping me learn more and become better of myself, thank you for being the ones I can trust and for always being there for me, thank you for helping me see the world better, and thank you for always supporting me through ups and downs.
