29 YEARS OF LIFE, FAITH, AND A MIRACULOUS SURVIVAL

On today October 17, 2026, we pause to reflect on a life-changing event that could have ended the life of Bishop Dr. Boyde Yeremiyah Singletary. Twenty-nine years ago, on October 17, 1997, at approximately 3:10 p.m., he was struck by a white commercial van and dragged across multiple lanes of traffic in a horrific accident that left an unforgettable mark on his life.

By all human expectations, Bishop Singletary was not supposed to be here today. He could have been dead and gone, another life lost in a devastating tragedy. Yet, against all odds, his life was spared.

What could have been the end of his earthly journey became a powerful testimony of survival, perseverance, and faith in the Most High YAH. Although he sustained deep facial scars, he survived the accident without broken bones. Those scars remain a visible reminder of the day his life was forever changed and of the mercy he believes carried him through.

Adding to this testimony of perseverance, Bishop Singletary is also celebrating 13 years cancer-free, another significant milestone that reminds us of the importance of hope, gratitude, and continuing to move forward through life’s most difficult challenges.

As we approach his 29th anniversary of this horrific accident, we encourage family, friends, congregants, supporters, and members of the community to take a moment to acknowledge the gift of life and to give their loved ones their flowers while they are still here to receive them.

October 17, 2026, is not simply a date on the calendar. It marks 29 years of survival, faith, resilience, and renewed purpose.

Twenty-nine years later, the testimony continues. The scars remain, the faith stands strong, and the life that could have been lost continues to make a difference.

All praise, honor, and glory to the Most High YAH.

Fashion Week is a highly anticipated event in the fashion industry where designers, brands, and fashion houses showcase their latest collections. But what exactly is Fashion Week? This biannual global phenomenon takes place in major cities around the world, including New York, Paris, London, and Milan. It serves as a platform not just for fashion innovators but also for models, stylists, and media to connect, network, and celebrate the artistry of clothing.

I was invited to the International "Beautiful You Fashion Tour" by D.W.E Technology Services, LLC.

It was a wonderful Weeknd (I spelled that incorrectly on purpose). I was blinded by the lights. My favorite piece was from a wearable art collection. Is that Micheal Jackson? Do you remember the time? Fashion is timeless and Oh, so ever changing.

Special shout out to Chasen (first photo) who was featured at a fashion show this weekend. Building up the next generation of teens.

One thing I always admired about me is my tenacity to succeed. Nothing was handed to me on a silver platter. Everything I earned I worked hard for.

I randomly walked into this college one day and had the courage to offer my services. A few days later I was offered the opportunity.

They say everything is in timing. Here I am preparing for my next chapter as an adjunct professor teaching Digital Design and Graphics and Elements of Effective Design. My career in the fashion industry is what helped pave this way for me.

The pursuit of happiness is to love what you do, and don't let anyone destroy your shine. I plan to laugh and smile for the rest of the year.

Ever wonder why spooky season sleepwear starts creeping onto retail floors long before the first Jack-o'-lantern is carved? Welcome to the fast-paced world of retail strategy! Brands and department stores love to get a head start through a phenomenon often called "Summerween" or early seasonal staging. By rolling out holiday and Halloween-themed loungewear in late summer and early fall, retailers tap into excitement early, build long-running consumer anticipation, and stretch out the shopping season. It also helps them test the waters with new trends and graphics before the heavy winter holiday rush kicks in.

Walk into many stores right now, and you will already spot early hints of autumn and Halloween making a stylish appearance on the floor from cozy flannel prints to playful ghost-and-pumpkin pajama sets.

For teens and young adults, sleepwear isn't just something to throw on before bed it's a major fashion statement and a form of self-expression. Fun, expressive sleepwear allows youth to lean into their personalities, whether that means rocking quirky skeleton graphics, pastel pink ghosts, or aesthetic seasonal prints. It turns standard loungewear into a canvas for individual style, humor, and fandoms, letting teens curate a vibe even in their most relaxed moments.

I attended the 2026 MWBE Regional Opportunities Expo and it was positive and productive.

My favorite story is the one I’m writing. Open or closed, every chapter of my life has been worth the read. I hold the pen, I control the outcome, and I’m making this narrative a masterpiece. Stay tuned for the next chapter...

If you know you know....

I had to represent and show up to the JAY-Z30 POP-UP on 75 E. 161st Street.

You never know who you will meet in these streets. It was a dope day and I went back to my grassroots and a cassette tape was purchased for me.

The vibe was the realist and the illest.

I love the 90's and it was my favorite decade of ALL time. I am a fan of hip-hop and Jay will always be one of my top favorite artist.

I threw up the "Block", NOT the "Roc". LOL. If you know me well, you know I'm an OG. I don't follow, I lead!

Today's hat and t-shirt was created by END UP DESIGNS. Money Laundry Tie Dye T-Shirt and NY Yankee (BX Bully) Snap Back BB Cap.

My favorite Jay Z verse is "There's never been a n—a this good for this long / This hood or this pop, this hot or this strong."

💪 Meli Micah Design Studio will ALWAYS finish strong.

I love speaking with the youth. They enjoy hearing my stories about the 25 year career I spent in the Fashion Industry. It inspires them to think about their futures and purpose. Being an impact is easy, you just have to have listening ears. Which as you can clearly see they were very attentive.
