Grateful for my amazing team @australian.elite.team and @gforcebjj and always grateful to have the health and ability to test myself. Not the result I prayed and worked for but we keep it stepping. Bigger and better things still to come inshallah ❤️🔥

Pan Pacific 2026 🇦🇺

When Gareth found himself without an opponent in his division, we had two choices.

🥇 Option 1: Stay in his division and take the automatic gold.
🥋 Option 2: Move up a weight class and face 2 incredibly tough opponents he had previously lost to.

As parents, it would have been tempting to protect our child, take the easier option and walk away with the gold. But after a long conversation, Gareth decided to step out of his comfort zone and take on the challenge.

One of the most important lessons we hope to teach Gareth is that when life gets difficult, you don't always look for an easy way out. Sometimes, you take a deep breath, face the challenge head on and give it your best shot.

We're incredibly proud of Gareth for choosing the harder path. There's still so much to learn and plenty of mistakes to make along the way. We hope he grows up to be someone who faces challenges rather than runs away from them.

Big shoutout to the coaches @jihadbekai @phillip.skorsis at @gforcebjj for all the hard work and effort into coaching our team. ❤️

It makes me proud to see how far Mo has come.

Time to time we get to train together and enjoy Jiu jitsu, which makes me so happy, that as adults now, we get to hang out as training partners.

He is a very talented, combat athlete, always pushing the level. Always going after tough challenges whether it be MMA or jiu jitsu and even in the local smokers on the weekends somewhere in Victoria or interstate.

MO’s performance last Friday night was insane!! Both Mo and Justin Robertson went at it, hard core, for the entire round @fusionfightingchampionship

I mean, you’re down by two points after a ball tearer of a battle with an undefeated 6/0 Combat machine, and with 9 seconds to go, shoot’s up a Michael Jordan Hail Mary and takes his opponents back to take the points to win by two!!
🤌🤌🤌
MAMMA MIA !!!

Both boys, deserved to win that scrap!

We ALL WON that night!

FFC Vol 13 might just go down as one of the promotions, greatest cards yet!

And it feels like we’re just getting started!

Job Melbourne!!!

Your support means everything to our awesome fight community… I appreciate you !!

Ps How about that pic Johnny snapped in the moment immediately after that fight.

Week 3 of fight camp 🥊

Nothing better than a Saturday morning bringing all the champions together, putting in the work and helping build each other up for the next battle.

What a vibe. What a group. 🔥

Proud of this crew and the work they’re putting in!

Nationals 2024 - Gi 🥈(Grey belt)
Nationals 2025 - Gi 🥇 No-Gi 🥉(Grey belt)
Nationals 2026 - Gi 🥇 No-Gi 🥈 (Yellow belt)

Slow and steady wins the race. Gareth has trained in BJJ for almost 5 years and unlike some of the other IG kids smashing it at comps with just 6 months of training, his BJJ path has been a slow and steady one.

What he lacks in strength, aggression and natural talent, he makes up for it with hard work. Putting in hours and hours of training every week, listening to coaches diligently and asking questions whenever in doubt. Anyone who has rolled with him at training will know how technical he is and how safe it is to roll with him.

Couldn't have done it this Nationals without the coaching and guidance from @jihadbekai and @phillip.skorsis
