Have you ever seen someone do something and said “I’m going to do that!”?

That was me 5 years ago seeing a friend’s picture climbing Mt. Rainier and I haven’t let anything stop me from trying to climb volcanoes.

After four attempts visiting other volcanoes and a ton of weird looks in my FL gym, I got to visit the top of Koma Kulshan with some very special people. The timing was right, the weather was perfect, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide and climbing partner.

Thank you @alextmtnguide @mooneymountainguides and @jill.mimbs for the team climb, great company, and all the odd songs stuck in our heads. #youresovain #theclimb

5th trip into this cirque. This time with Kat and Jill. Their first time on terrain like this. They came to see what terrain like this was all about and to unlock many more mountains around the world.

Both Kat and Jill have climbed some mountains. Many of them, via walking with perhaps some glacier travel. We have ice climbed together for a few winters in a row. It was time to put what they have learned and apply it to new terrain.

Amazing adventure.

I just returned from my annual trip to the PNW. This year provided the perfect mix of guiding, mentoring and personal climbing. It has left me filled with gratitude for:

dear friends and family to adventure with
smiles of those experiencing it for the first time
incredible natural spaces
a supportive, competent and fun guiding family
a body that can move on alpine terrain
wildflowers, hummingbirds, bees and goats
my spouse that understands

These experiences bring me such joy and perspective. And having such wonderful people to share it with is a gift. Thanks to all who journeyed with me this year.

Magic days in the alpine with the MMG fam and our wonderful guests. I am so grateful to be part of a supportive team where each member can stretch, grow and learn. And the Cascades makes the perfect classroom. 🙏🏻💜⛰️

It’s never a dull moment with this crew! Heather, Jill, and Andrea made their annual pilgrimage to the New to kick off their climbing season and got their stoke on with @limtowry. Great to climb with y’all again! 🙌
