dedicating a whole post to the gratitude i have felt in just one week.

this has been one of the busiest, most rewarding, and genuinely life-altering weeks of my entire life.

it’s not very often that a passion finds its way to you when you so desperately need it most. and i think it’s even more rare to somehow turn that passion into your job and still love every single second of your “work.”

this past week, i had MULTIPLE classes back to back, day after day, completely full. so full that we literally had to expand our normal capacity. and every time i looked around those rooms, i couldn’t help but think about the girl i was when i first got to college.

being in my senior year has made me reflect so much on who i was as a freshman. i moved across the country with this picture in my head of exactly what my college experience was supposed to look like, and within my first day here, i was immediately humbled. everything flipped in the exact OPPOSITE direction.

i found myself at the lowest and most depressed point of my life, living through habits and thoughts that felt impossible to ever find my way out of.

and somehow, at rock bottom, God brought me back to the one thing that had always felt secure to me: movement.

i wish so deeply that the scared little freshman girl who moved across the country and didn’t want to see another day could see how far she made it. i wish she could see that being entirely who she was was MORE than enough. i wish she could see the rooms that are now filled with women choosing to spend an hour of their day moving with her.

and most of all, i wish she could see the community standing behind her now, a community i never would have found without @pilateswithashlyn seeing something in me and giving me the space to find it within myself.

i will never live another day doubting whether i deserve to be here.

being trusted with even one hour of someone’s day is one of the greatest privileges of my life. people always talk about falling back in love with exercise and how movement saved them. and maybe movement did save me, but for me, movement led me to something even bigger.

it led me back to myself. and it led me to all of you.
