We braved the polar vortex to go thrifting!! 🙌 @jillfark was in Toronto, so a year after we first met, we headed to our favourite @valuevillage_thrift on Queen West!

I usually thrift by myself, but thrifting with a friend is so much fun!!! Particularly one that loves to browse ALL the racks!! 🙌

I came home with several fab finds…including the toucan…which I wasn’t going to get, but last minute decided I couldn’t leave her behind!! 🫶

Jill Farkas, aka @jillfark, is a wife and mother, born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. 🇨🇦

Working for 30 years in a factory on the assembly line building minivans, fashion and style were not at the forefront for Jill. Now that she’s retired, she says it’s a pleasure not to wear a hoodie everyday.

Jill’s fashion choices have been influenced by other accounts on IG and she’s decided to move away from fast fashion and prefers shopping secondhand.

Jill says “I want to be conscious of my purchases and the impact it makes on the world.” 🌍

Jill’s account is smaller but authentic. She is embracing her personal style and inspiring other women to shop mindfully.

Another dress to skirt upcycle!!

Thrifted is Old Navy dress last year but it was a size too small, so I adjusted the top part as I wanted a little more coverage. This year decided it just wasn’t working for me as a dress, so decided to ✂️✂️ as I was already thinking about how I’d wear it as a skirt!!

The tops are a mixture of thrifted, swapped, new or old. Love the lime green vest & shirt with the blue!! 💚💙

Both the green shirt & blue one were thrift finds on my recent visit to see @jillfark the blue is almost the exact same colour as the skirt & as soon as I spotted it knew I had to wear it with the skirt!! 💙💙 showing a little mid-drift, but I’m kinda liking this look!!
