What an honor it is to wear the black belt entrusted to me by Master Carlos Machado and now have the opportunity to teach Gi Jiu-Jitsu at 10th Planet Austin. 🙏

Thank you to Master Carlos Machado @carlosmachadojiujitsu for your teachings, trust, and inspiration. Thank you Curtis @curtis10p for the opportunity and support, and to every student who showed up for my first class. To my current students and those who will join us in the future, thank you for allowing me to share this journey with you.

My goal is simple: to pass down the knowledge, values, and traditions that were passed down to me, to help others grow on and off the mats, and to make Master Machado proud every time I step on the mat to teach.

This belt is not the finish line. It’s a responsibility to give back, keep learning, and serve the Jiu-Jitsu community.

10th Planet for life. Machado for life.

I’m incredibly thankful to everyone who showed up for my Gi class and for the kind words and testimonial afterward. Your support means more to me than you know.

Jiu-Jitsu is about so much more than techniques. It’s about community, humility, and passing on the knowledge that others have generously shared with us.

I’m honored to learn from Master Carlos Machado, and I look forward to continuing to share what he has taught me and passing his teachings on to the next generation of students.

The knowledge we receive is a gift. The responsibility is to pass it on. 🙏

Thank you all for being part of this journey. Oss! 🥋

I believe judo is one of the most underrated martial arts you can learn. It gives you the tools you need and builds a strong foundation for grappling. The beginning can be boring and challenging, with breakfalls, repetitive drills, and mastering the fundamentals. But once you get past that stage, the real fun begins: learning to hit those explosive, high-level throws. 😉 Oss!

Sorry Roger @rogergrapples I had to get a head start on my speech to make sure I wouldn’t go over my allotted time Saturday night at the ceremony.

Thank you @zoltanbjj for your words of reassurance and thank you always for sharing your judo wisdom with me.

Thank you @armsanch for being one of my #1 readers and supporter.

And last but not least, thank you to my beautiful wonderful soulmate, best friend and wife @stopandsmellthetxwildflowers

Highlights from @nagafighter competition this past weekend. What a wonderful opportunity to put my skills to the test and calibrate. I decided to join the absolute bracket and was able to taste my first victory. This art form keeps sharpening my ability to detach from outcome use it as an additional data point, never a sign of my worth as a grappler.

Of course, the road is long and never walked alone. Huge shoutout to my entire team at @10patx. My corner @laurensears10p and @jacobnorton10p, it’s an honor to be coached by y’all consistently. @hanlly for the dope @dead.mall kit, helping me rock it out in style. Big thank you to my training partner @seekingsydneygruber, who despite not being there in person, supported me with reps upon reps before this match, as well as speaking light and positivity into my game constantly. All the coaches @10patx for teaching the 10P system. Finally @nogipriss and @curtis10p for creating a beautiful ecosystem of elite training and wonderful souls.

About a year ago I moved to Austin, what wonderful offerings I’ve found trusting my intuition. I don’t claim to know too much, but I do know this is no time to put on the brakes. Locking in. 🔒💯❤️‍🔥
