This video takes me back to 2019… the very beginning of building Hoodfit.

Even then, the message was clear: Rep Your Womanhood.

Every woman carries different roles, different responsibilities, different seasons of life — student, mother, leader, dreamer, creator. But the common thread is the strength we discover when we show up for ourselves.

Movement has always been about more than the workout for me. It’s about the confidence built with every rep. The resilience built through challenge. The reminder that the strength we build through movement carries into every part of our lives.

Different women. Different stories. One powerful truth: when women feel strong, they move through the world differently✨

This message was the heartbeat of Hoodfit in 2019, and it’s still the foundation of everything I continue to build with this community today.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the women showing up, lifting themselves up, and repping their womanhood every single day. 🤍💪 #RepYourWomanhood #InternationalWomensDay #Hoodfit #StrongWomen

5 benefits for the use of squalene ( our main ingredient ) for the hair:

1. Deep Moisturization: Squalene acts as an excellent emollient, sealing in moisture without leaving a heavy residue. This keeps hair hydrated, smooth, and soft.
2. Improved Shine: By reducing frizz and adding moisture, squalene can enhance the hair’s natural shine, making it look healthier and more vibrant.
3. Scalp Health: Squalene can also nourish the scalp, reducing dryness, flakiness, and irritation. This supports overall scalp health, which is essential for strong hair growth.
4. Enhanced Hair Elasticity: Hydrated hair tends to be more elastic, which reduces breakage and split ends. Squalene helps hair stay flexible and less prone to damage.
5. Protection from Damage: Acting as a barrier, squalene can help protect hair from environmental stressors like UV rays, pollution, and heat, minimizing damage and helping maintain healthy hair structure.

Spend the afternoon learning about this wonderful nonprofit organization that was founded in 2005 and provides a sisterhood and wellness programs and meets the needs emotionally and physically for women living with cancer calling them “Living Beauties”. It was so beautiful to meet the survivors who shared their wonderful stories and how this organization has helped them through their toughest times. Caught up with some great friends and enjoyed beautiful lunch amazing chef who provided food as medicine and a terrific mixologist had the most charming drinks.
