Can’t believe I haven’t shared any of these yet. Such a stunning day at one of my favorite locations for bridal portraits in Utah. More and more lately, I have been recommending couples book separate formal portraits in their wedding attire before or after their wedding day. This frees up time on your wedding day to stay present with your guests by limiting the time you need to spend on portraits. It also means you can go to a different location so your gallery has variety in lighting, setting, and vibe. If you choose to do a formal session before your wedding day, I love to pair it with a first look so you still have that special reveal!

All Pets are Welcome. Just kidding, this little caiman named Ducky (albeit unreasonably adorable) is definitely not a pet. He is an animal ambassador from @scalesandtailsutah and he very generously joined us on set to show off his modeling skills with the incomparable @a.maisie.ing . Having grown up in Texas, where we have gators in our lakes, I was so stinkin’ excited to be able to pet this little guy. They had his mouth secured for this interaction, but thankfully I was able to meticulously edit it out for this fashion editorial. Would you invite a reptile to your next session?

So much fun cooking for the Mortensen/Bywater wedding!

No matter how many people I cook for or how many events I do, the compliments and kind words never get old. They keep me going and remind me exactly why I love what I do. There’s something pretty damn special about bringing people together over good food and being a small part of days like this.

And apparently my job doesn’t end when the food is served… because if there’s a dance floor, I WILL find it.
