A couple weeks ago @maamkirby and @betsyodland threw me a perfect baby shower 🥹. I’ve never felt so spoiled in my life. They thought of every detail and it was so special to be completely surprised by it all. As the oldest daughter and in-house creative director it’s quite hard for me to not try and plan/manage/obsess over everything but there’s something about pregnancy that really allows you to let go and let god and I’m so happy I did because my girls killed it. It was surreal to be pregnant and soak up time with many of the women who have had a part in who I am today, some of whom have been in my life since my mom was pregnant with me (and shoutout to Griffypoo who is always by my side). I didn’t have any of the usual bridal festivities before my wedding, and I often have regretted it. There are few opportunities in your life to be surrounded by the people who love you more than life itself. The pure joy for what’s next for @ndr_mrl and me filled the room. It was such a happy day. Thank you to my mom and Betsy, my hostesses extraordinaire, and everyone who came and showered! I am so grateful to be so loved. I can’t wait to share that with my daughter.

We appreciate the coverage from @eastbayri highlighting Millennial Rhode Island and the idea that there truly is strength in numbers when people come together. For more than a decade, our organization has focused on bringing people together to build friendships, share ideas, and strengthen community across our state. What started as a small effort to connect people has grown into a network that has helped thousands of Rhode Islanders meet new people, discover opportunities, and feel more connected to the place we call home. At a time when many people feel increasingly disconnected, creating spaces where people can gather, talk, and build real relationships matters. As 2025 wraps up, I’ve been reflecting on my journey this year—a mix of highs, challenges, and growth. Looking back, there are eight key mantras that resonated with me. I share them here in hopes they help my family / friends as we gear up to crush 2026. 1. An ounce of action is worth a ton of theory - just start. 2. 40% Rule: When your mind tells you you’re done, you’ve likely only used 40% of your actual physical and mental potential. 3. Work-life balance isn’t about splitting time 50/50 - it’s about quality, intentionality, and fulfillment, not strict time management. 4. Hiring a coach that is 5 years ahead of you will be the best money you spend. 5. Show me your calendar and I’ll show you your priorities - book that family trip. 6. You will never regret spending money on self improvement - purchase those supplements, save for the cold plunge, hire the coach. The dollars you get back in how you feel and productivity will far outweigh the cost. 7. We are all figuring it out - give yourself some grace. 8. Constantly put yourself in uncomfortable situations - this is a muscle that helps you grow. Cheers to 2026!
