Say his name: MALCOLM X. Malcolm X is assassinated 59 years ago, today. Our Black, shining Prince, as Ossie Davis put it, in his eulogy for Malcolm; our revolutionary leader of the working class, as Jack Barnes, who as a youth was twice invited by Malcolm to interview him for the Young Socialist news paper. That interview, along with other speeches (some of his last speeches in fact) Malcolm made to young audiences here in the U.S and worldwide is found in a book called Malcolm X Talks to Young People. Also, please see Malcolm X Speaks, a collection of virtually ALL of his speeches and Malcolm X, Black Liberation, and the Road to Workers' Power, by Jack Barnes. See www.pathfinderpress.com to order these books and others.
