Caught this healed and hairy Kirin we did around December 2025 on my buddy @jiro_wushi the other day! Thank you for the YEARS of dedication! He might have the most stuff I’ve made on one person…. It’s a lot! I’m super happy with how this one turned out! Made @blackcatpgh

@amandajmanol sent this pic of this mural I painted in 2008-9 in the great Kassab’s middle eastern restaurant.
I know my way around some middle eastern jams as a result - I can DJ a gig from Casablanca to Tehran rn
I miss the Kassab family - they treated me like family and they fed me the best home cooked food I ever had the entire year I painted this mural ! Every time I showed up to paint after they closed, Tony would come out with a huge Mezza platter for me ( a $50 meal then ! ) and when I visit Pittsburgh and stop to eat there, he still brings me a mezza platter and never lets me pay ! 🥹❤️💔
When they first opened way back in the 90s I found out about them because girls always dragged me there for their French fries … then a few years later they dropped them from the menu and a bunch of girls left town lol . So when I started painting the mural I got after Tony to put the fries back in the menu and he did ! You’re welcome ladies ! )
If you go to Kassabs tell Tony I miss him and his food !
