When there are mangoes, but no showers.. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

A @raga_ensemble choreography
Videography courtesy Bhagavath RC
Edited by @malini.mahesh

“Oh Lord Varuna, who is the presiding deity of ocean-like burst of rains!
Kindly do not hold back on your blessings towards us.
Kindly gather moisture from the depths of ocean, take them up to the skies and cause a thunderous downpour..
The clouds should become as dark as that of the Lord who is the cause and reason of this world..
It should become resplendent with lightning, just as the dazzling discus (Sudarsana chakra) held on the hands of the broad chested Lord Padmanabha..
It should make a thunderous roar like the conch (Paanchajanyam) held on the hand of the Lord..
You should bring forth rains in abundance like the incessant shower of arrows coming from the bow of the Lord.
Let there be rains so that the earth flourishes and we can also enjoy by partaking in the ritual bath of Margazhi.”
