💬: Despite the ongoing gossip and the endless churning of the rumour mill considering the predicament of an apparent swansong in the offing, Belgian creative director, #anthonyvaccarello spared no limits in bookmarking his decade-long tenure at #ysl with the new Women’s Collection for next Summer, as he decided to pick up where he left off with the trio of molten gold looks bookending his Men’s show this June, and hit the extended remix option on that single metallic hue: right from the humongous chandeliers (a recreation of the Maison’s couture spectacles of yore, held at the former Hôtel Inter-Continental) suspended above the open-air runway facing the bedazzled Eiffel Tower, to the sumptuously-bejewelled and unforgettably-decadent lineup of 59 looks (not forgetting the studded brooches, door-knocker earrings and effervescent transparencies, yet no signs of any handbags), that presented a vast breadth of propositions in terms of his interpretations of the namesake founder’s vestimentary signatures, both in mesmerising technicality, and in living spirit.
