POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

dear high school golf,

it’s so surreal that this chapter is already over. when i played my first ever state tournament in 8th grade, i remember watching seniors finish their final 18th hole in full tears, thinking, i still have four more years after this. four more years until that’s me, walking away from a chapter of my life that i’ll never get back. i never could have imagined how fast those four years would go by, or how much this sport would come to mean to me. and today, that thought finally became my reality.

a part of me wishes i could go back to that first state tournament in 8th grade and tell that little girl to slow down and soak it all in. i’d tell her that the years she thinks will last forever will become some of the fastest years of her life, and that one day she’ll understand why those seniors were crying. i’d tell her that it’s okay to cry when something beautiful comes to an end, because it only hurts this much because it meant so much.

high school golf gave me so much more than a sport. it gave me lifelong friends, unforgettable memories, and lessons that shaped me both on and off the course. thank you to every coach, competitor, friend, and family member who encouraged me, believed in me, celebrated my wins, and stood by me through the hard moments. you have all played a part in making this chapter so special. every high, low, and lesson taught me resilience, patience, humility, and trust in God’s plan.

as hard as it is to say goodbye, i’m so excited for my next chapter at @islandersgolf & i’m ready for new challenges, friendships, and the opportunity to keep chasing my dreams at the division 1 level. i can’t wait to see where God takes me next. i may be walking away from high school golf, but i’ll never walk away from the game that changed my life. if i could do it all over again, i’d choose it every time.

thank you, high school golf, for everything. you’ll always have a piece of my heart. here’s to the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

dear shalf,

I am so grateful I have something that makes saying goodbye this difficult. shalf is so special because every person lucky enough to be a part of this team leaves with countless memories and relationships we will cherish forever.

I have made so many memories with this team on and off the golf course. From the countless van rides, team dinners, and qualifying to practice rounds, karaoke and dinner at the benders, and winning all state as a team. From playing in state to watching my teammates play in state. All the good rounds and maybe even the bad rounds because I don’t think there was ever a single moment from being on this team that I didn’t enjoy being apart of it!

To the coaches: A good team isn’t complete without a good coach and we have 4 amazing ones. You all are the best and I wouldn’t be where I am today with you all. This team couldn’t have achieved what we did without your support!!

To the team: thank you for being the best people to spend that past four years with and for making this year the best one yet!!

So thank you shalf for bringing me this team, these coaches, and everyone who supported us into my life! I am forever grateful I had the chance to wear red, white and navy with pride! go valkyries forever and always!

First round of state team champs!! didn’t play my best last Tuesday during semi state but I still managed to place in the top 20! I learned a lot about what needs improvement!! Lots of work to do to get ready for state finals October 9th and 10th!!

working on getting better rhythm in my swing and having better posture at setup! I am trying to have a little more wrist hinge at the top so I can get all my weight through the ball!!

one more chance to achieve our goal!! let’s do this thing 👊👊🏆🏆❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 #shalf #beateveryone

NBB is working with Golf Instructors throughout Kentucky to help guide parents that are looking for Junior Golf Instructors for Intermediate & Advanced Middle School & High School Player Development by Region throughout the Commonwealth. We realize that most Advanced Players already have a Swing Coach, but players looking to take their game to the next level can benefit from working with an NBB Verified Junior Golf Instructor and we want to help parents to make them aware of options in the area....If you have a Junior Golfer looking to take their game to the next level in the North Central Kentucky Region get with NBB Verified Junior Golf Instructors @corykaufmangolf @jjsnider67 @jesse_massie_pga @groundforceperformanceky @barrygulley with @thegolfacademypr @thegolfacademyecc

mid season check in! working really hard!!
current scoring average- 77 | goal- 75
all state team goal- 2nd team all state
best finish- tied 3rd at KGCA invitational at Lakeside GC | goal- win a highschool tournament!

Definitely a solid start to the season but I still have a lot of work to do to achieve my goals! I am currently working on getting my mental game sharper to be better during pressure situations.

Monday and tuesday I played in the Marion Miley and shot scores of 85, 80. Not my best stuff on a tough course against a stacked field! I had so much fun and can’t wait to come back next year!
Shalf season is off to a good start. On wednesday i played in the KGCA invitational and shot an even par 72 (new tournament best) which was good for tied 3rd! Thursday i played in the Lady Rocket invitational and didnt have my best stuff but grinded it out and shot an 80 and was one over on the back! Friday i shot a 75 (+3) at the Central Hardin Invitational and got in 5th individually! We are back at it Monday @ Park Mammoth GC!
