Typical Internet Coach Statement: “if he fixes his technique, they’ll run *insert PR here*”

Coaching elite athletes at any level is about more than just “getting a better start”. It’s understanding the body as a whole. Some days the body will feel good, and other days it’ll be off, but great coaches take the time to study what works and what doesn’t for their athletes beyond drills and reps 💯

As the season comes to a close we should see who is able to peak and who are already peaked.

Knowing how to periodize is an art and a science. Are you peaking?

FRESH OFF OLYMPIC TRIALS:

we’ve had quite the eventful last few weeks as our athletes had to endure power outages, as well as being in houses without air conditioning for almost a week due to the hurricane that swept through Houston.

🗣️ our main motto is that leaders don’t make excuses we make ways. So @jjxcurry is preparing for his final meet of his rookie season as a pro.

To all of my supporters, family and friends:
After careful consideration and reflection, I have made the decision to leave Arizona State University to pursue new opportunities and challenges in my academic studies and athletic career. It has been an incredible journey over the past three years, one that I will always cherish and hold close to my heart.
First and foremost, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the entire faculty at Arizona State University. Your unwavering support and dedication to academic excellence have been instrumental in my growth both on and off the track. The guidance and mentorship I received have been invaluable, shaping not just my athletic career but also my personal development.
To the coaching stafff and teammates of the Arizona State track and field team, thank you for believing in me and pushing me to achieve more than I thought possible. You believed in me from day 1, thank you. To my amazing teammates, the camaraderie, friendships and shared pursuit of excellence have been the driving force behind our successes, and I am forever grateful for every moment we had together.
To the people who have cheered me on throughout my time at Arizona State, your encouragement and enthusiasm have meant the world to me. Your support fuels my determination to strive for greatness every day, and your continued love and passion humbles me.
While I am embarking on a new chapter in my journey, I carry with me the lessons and fond memories from my time at Arizona State University. ASU will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am proud to have been a part of such a vibrant and supportive community. I will always be a Sun Devil at heart. Forks Up!
Thank you once again for all the love you have shown me over the years and I hope to have your continued support as enter this new phase of my life and athletic career.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Justin Robinson

Nobody tells you how challenging it is to transition from being a full time athlete 🏃🏾‍♂️💨 into the real world 🌎.

You go from having an outlet to express yourself, a sense of purpose, and structure to having to find it all over again.

For me, I’m blessed to be able to use my sport as a platform to help other athletes/coaches tell their stories of what’s going on behind the scenes, and I still get to “see if I still got it” every know and then 😎

Man does time fly… 4 1/2 years spent in the oldest town in Texas, but this chapter is finally coming to a close.

Although I didn’t quite fulfill what I came to the USA for, I am so grateful for every single coach, teammate, and trainer I have met along the way. I have grown a lot during my time here, both as an athlete and as a person, and that would not have been possible without every single one of you❤️

Although I achieved a lot here, I am still leaving wanting more. No idea what’s next, but that’s the exciting part❤️

See you soon 🇬🇧🫡
