Post Comp took me out. It’s good to be back lifting some heavier weights this weekend. The farmers carry was a challenge from @jkrcboss. Felt ok until the last 15 seconds.
60 second farmers carry at your body weight. technically I was 3 lbs under.

Talk about community! When your crew wants to stick around after the workout to do another 54 Burpee’s just for fun. What an amazing group of people. Thanks to @ainsyd for the vid and class today.

On Saturday June 29th, our COL community showed up big to close out our Pride Month at CrossFit COL with our annual COL Proud fundraiser in support of @pflaghalton.

We hosted 5 classes ft. our annual Stonewall WOD, a pancake breakfast, pride nail designs & more. A special thanks to coaches Eric, Linds and Tuli for leading the charge in making this day an amazing success. So far, we have raised over $500 & we can’t thank our community enough for their support in making COL an inclusive space for all.

Shoutout to @jtpeel for always capturing our community so perfectly.

The CrossFit Open is right around the corner & we couldn’t be more excited. The Open is a three week international competition where anyone — regardless of fitness level or ability — can compete in the biggest fitness competition in history. There are multiple divisions with multiple standards to ensure that everyone from masters and beginners, to teens and competitive athletes, are able to compete.

Last year we had over 125 members register & CrossFit COL sat top 3 in Canada for participants and something tells us that this year is going to be even bigger than that.

Registration opens on January 9th so start chatting with your friends and get ready to register at games.crossfit.com. Join the list of unbelievable individuals who will be going up against no one but themselves to see how far you’ve come this year.

This week, we kick off our Gymnastics Cycle in our regularly programmed CrossFit classes & the focus of this cycle will be on all aspects of gymnastics.

To quote the great @apbozman; “we in the CrossFit community have proven that we can compete with the best in the sport in the endurance world and weightlifting world but we aren’t close to closing the gap in the world of gymnastics.”

Who is excited to pull, press, push & flip their way into this new cycle?!

What a weekend it was for these 6 athletes!

Over the last 3 days, each of these athletes gave it their all and we couldn’t be more proud of them. We saw many PRs, had too many laughs & are so grateful for all the members who showed up to cheer them on.

There were so many magic moments that happened this weekend that we doubt it will be forgotten about for a long time.

That may be a wrap for the 2022 Age Group Quarterfinals but we doubt it’s the last time we will see these athletes at this phase of the Games again.

Congratulations Everyone!

Next weekend, it’s going to be another busy weekend at CrossFit COL as we are excited to announce that 7 athletes have qualified for their Age Group Quarterfinals.

Congratulations to all of these athletes for their hard work this Open season. We are excited to see them throwdown next weekend & will be releasing a schedule Friday of next week so that the community can come support.

Each of them will be completing 5 workouts between Friday March 31st and Sunday April 2nd so stay tuned to see when you can come support these athletes.
