Sometimes a pet is not right for us,
but if we love animals, that can be a bummer!
These sea creatures require no food or water
and you only need some wall space instead of a tank.

Adopt one through @jkrgallery until November 1st. After that, they’ll be on my website.

What an exploration of material, reflection and adventure. I made these on the road while we were traveling in the RV up north to glacier national Park and Banff Canada. I cut and framed them back at home. All these pictures were small flowers that I photographed and painted every night when we got done adventuring. Currently there for sale @jkrgallery The link is in the bio.

“Conspire”
24 x 18
$550

These ravens press so closely together that their bodies nearly become a single dark form. Conspire comes from the Latin conspirare (to breathe together) and once carried a sense of harmony or accord before taking on its more sinister meaning. Closeness can create its own kind of understanding: two distinct beings occupying the same space without becoming the same.

Come see this completed piece tomorrow night, October 2nd 6-9 pm @jkrgallery

“Autumn Apparitions” show will be on display October 2nd- October 30th (Wednesday-Saturday 4-8 pm)

“Garden Rose Duo”
6inches by 8 inches

This little painting from my recent Garden Rose series will be available for auction at the JKR Gallery Autumn Gallery this Thursday, Oct 1.

The gala is an annual fundraising event hosted by J. Kirk Richards to support gallery and academy costs. I’ve enjoyed teaching the open figure session at the academy for the last three years and have come to really value the community that attends each week. And always a gift to be working from live models.

Ripples of the Silent Depth 8x8in will be available @jkrgallery Opening Night 2nd October. Drop by say Hi. This is always a fascinating Show. Mysterious atmospheric artworks to invite curiosity and thought. This is one of my experimental encaustic expressions. They are so full of delicious delicate details, I think there will be more!!. I am honored to be part of this show.
