Truth be told…I had a meltdown before this show last night…work things came up and looking at the clock at 7:48pm knowing I had to be at this show at 9pm to support my dear friends…I didn’t want to go.

Then I had to stop…and sit with the fact that 5 years ago I was married, in Arizona wishing and praying for a moment like last night. I had to snap out of it..I owe that to every past version of me.

I owe this to my amazing community of people who I love so much and have the chance to impact through my love of fashion, women, inclusivity and personal style. I refuse to be ungrateful. I know even when it’s hard and my battery is drained, old Erica has worked so hard for this moment.

To those out there who feel stuck or lost and not sure where to go…I want you to know that it’s okay to blow up your life and change your scenery in order to create the life you want.

To @jle82784 and @laquan_smith and team, congrats on an absolutely beautiful show and gorgeous collection. You never cease to amaze me and continue to push the envelope of what it is to be sexy and powerful.

To my community, I would be nothing without all of you…I love you all and am honored to be your stylist.

I know I’m late… this one was really hard. But I couldn’t not get on here to say thank you to everyone who helped make this show happen. The last month has been full of challenges and lessons—reminding me that asking for help isn’t weakness, it’s actually strength.
I’ll be honest, I’ve been losing faith in people (this industry can do that), but this project reminded me of the good that’s out there. It really restored something in me.
To everyone who jumped in at the last minute and gave their all—thank you. And to my staff, my deepest gratitude. We truly couldn’t do this without you, and I need you to know how much you mean to me. We did it. Congratulations. 🍾
