WOO it’s finally retro gaming day! If you go to YouTube today you can see my drawing and @davidamichai’s amazing animation work on my doofy pixel assets! If you click through you can also watch a video introducing the community that utilizes some of my pixel assets in fun ways.

This one took a small army to complete and all my love and respect goes out to the folks who worked to get the approvals set up so I could draw the real consoles :,)

I think my favorite easter egg in here is the first issue of Nintendo Power and the baseball poster it came with hanging on the wall~

Also shout out to @jlefkowitz for the collab on the screen art hahaha

Yoodles has been a big amazing journey for the last couple years and it’s been so fun to get to really dive into these communities and learn a thing or two (sometimes about things I already know a thing or two about!)

Anyway keep your eyes peeled for more fun yoodle stuff In the future~

A big project I did with YouTube is finally LIVE! Been so pumped to share this!!
.
I did all the illustrations for the new YouTube Contributors program!
.
I want to share some thoughts and process with you:
.
YouTube Contributors help in such varied ways, we needed the illustrations not to be too literal.
.
This was a tough nut to crack, until in the ideation process, I had the idea to think of it like some kind of cyber mid-century mobile a la Bruno Munari or Alexander Calder. (P.s. I love using the word CYBER HAHA… OK. Back to the project...)
.
My favorite thing about this challenge was to make the very intangible and invisible idea of building something online with people you can't see, feel as tangible and real as building something in real life with friends.
.
I was REALLY in the groove when I made that first sketch you see in the sliders, and that one set the tone for the rest. I loved that the lines and shapes felt as much about representing figures accurately, as they were about nice shapes and composition.
.
Super happy with this body of work!! Hope you love it!
.
Massive thanks to the people at @hooknotthemovie and @jlefkowitz at YouTube for making this process a blast!
