What’s your favorite song on the project ??

Recently had the privilege to cut @stellaprincemusic ‘s cover of ‘Love Yourself” for the @grammys #ReImagined series.

An amazing experience to work with such talented artists. It’s always great when the song I’m listening to over and over again is this good!

Thanks @ameliajauregui_ for bringing me on and trusting me with the edit (and to hold a camera lol)

Had the coolest opportunity to direct and shoot @stellaprincemusic for the her cover of Justin Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself’ for the @grammys #ReImagined series.

So grateful for @alexdevinmusic for bringing me onto this project and trusting me & my wonderful team behind the camera, and for our budding collaboration and friendship! And of course, thank you @stellaprincemusic for your immense talent bringing us here!

And to my right hand people, @a_harsch_man & @kimberlyedelson_, thank you for rolling with the punches and making this process so smooth! Truly would not have been possible without y’all.

Who knew what magic we could get in just two takes, less than 24 hours prep time, and a 48 hour turnaround window! (But with such talented artists all around, I had no doubt it would be great!✨)

Musicians:
Background Vocals & Acoustic Guitar: Alex Devin @alexdevinmusic
Acoustic Guitar: Julia Levin @jlev.n
Electric Guitar: Rowan Hofmann @ rowan_hofmann
Bass: Mark Otero @markieotero
Percussion: Diana Raquel @dianaraquel._

Crew:
Directed & Shot by: yours truly🌟
Camera Operators: @a_harsch_man & @kimberlyedelson_

Shot at @dianewarren’s studio in Hollywood!

LEND ME YOUR EARS EP is out everywhere

LEND ME YOUR EARS :

According to Webster: The Shakespearean phrase “lend me your ears,” from Mark Antony’s speech in Julius Caesar, is a call for the audience’s attention made using metonymy, since ears are not part of attention but are associated with paying attention.

According to Sultan Dè:
A phrase used in my Nigerian household, when my mom wanted me to listen before I did something stupid.

This project is a result of faith, fortitude, and love. I started writing this project when I was freshly unemployed last year after walking the graduation stage. I had no idea what to do next but the one thing I knew I had was music. Every step of this journey been new, terrifying, and exciting but i’m thankful for the many people in my community who gave me the strength to produce this body of work. In every new chapter of blessings begins with confusion and fear, but everything you want is on the other side. Thank you to everyone who made this possible, this is my story. LEND ME YOUR EARS.

None of this could be made possible without ❤️@charliehallock_ @kaioffett @prin2e__ @ndeyesayshi @lovethedangerrr @jlev.n @officialdilemma @agntmngr @tomikoyounge @kacemusic @jorenville @luqmens @owsmi

LEND ME YOUR EARS - Sultan Dé

Executive Produced by Me

—

This body of work couldn’t have been created without years of self-discovery. We made sure to be extremely intentional about what Sultan is trying to say through these records and how we wanted to build out his world.

Sultan, thank you for trusting me to help illustrate your life through the music. Your perspective on the world is 1 of 1, and I couldn’t be more grateful to help bring it to life.

We could not have made LMYE without:
@officialdilemma
@lovethedangerrr
@kacemusic
@jlev.n
@matthewwolkmastering
+
@kaioffett & @tomikoyounge for your visual genius

Thank you 🙏
