Humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less. It’s selfless instead of selfish!

True humility isn’t insecurity or making yourself smaller/less. It’s when you know who you in Christ without having to fight for approval, acceptance, or love. Pride (which is conditional) wants recognition and for you to earn your worth. But humility thrives in the mercy, grace, and unconditional love of Jesus. Humility is when we are willing to fruitfully love others and glorify God. It’s when we consider and love others instead of just ourselves. It’s laying down the need to be seen, praised, or placed above others. It’s choosing instead to serve, encourage, and love like Jesus.

Pride: “How can I be elevated?”
Humility: “How can I elevate someone else?”

Two weeks ago, GRIT Hoops Academy Owner & Director, Coach Matt MacGinnis, had the privilege of co-leading the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Bible & Basketball Camp at Calvary Christian in Ormond Beach, Florida.

It was an incredible opportunity to invest in the next generation by combining basketball development with the life-changing message of the Gospel. At GRIT Hoops Academy, the mission has always extended beyond the game—using sports as a platform to build character, develop leaders, and point young athletes toward Christ.

Thank you to FCA and Calvary Christian for the opportunity to serve. We look forward to continuing to impact lives on and off the court. 🏀✝️
