La Fuente Celebrates 21 years! In 2010-2021, the way we connected changed but our commitment to community did not!

In 2016, La Fuente partnered with Impulse and produced “Meth Insight and Recovery”-an educational video addressing a drug crisis that was and continues to be a serious problem in our community. La Fuente is grateful for our community partnerships.

So damn proud of our @impulselosangeles volunteers! Thank you for not only putting on a sexy event, but for empowering your city of queers to take an active role in their community, safety, and wellbeing.

And thank you @impulsesandiego and @impulse_sf for leading the charge in yours and for coming together to make such a powerful network of support across the state.

Well, my loves... 💜

One of the most powerful moments of this conversation came when Dr. Justin Smith (@justyndsmith) reminded us that mental health doesn't have one face.

While working at a psychiatric hospital in Texas, he met doctors, teachers, engineers, and people from every walk of life. From the outside, many looked like everything was okay... but behind the smile, they were carrying battles no one could see.

🧠 That's why checking in on our friends matters.

🫂 That's why creating safe spaces matters.

💜 And that's why therapy can change — and even save — lives.

As our Special Co-Host José Ramos (@jluisramos) continues to remind us through FREE2BE, healing begins when people finally feel safe enough to say, "I'm not okay."

✨ You never know what someone is carrying.

✨ Be kind.

✨ Reach out.

✨ Listen without judgment.

Because healing is sexy, and no one should have to struggle alone.

A huge thank you to Dr. Justin Smith (@justyndsmith) for sharing his experience and helping us normalize these conversations, and to José Ramos (@jluisramos) for continuing to build spaces where our LGBTQ+ community can heal together.
