Gardena Serra continues to charge on this season with an impressive win over South Torrance High School (#3rd in South Bay), with great performances from the tricky trio of @deja.2cold | @karsonnevaehh | @shaunice2029 !

Coaches who can outline plays on a blackboard are a dime a dozen. The ones who win get inside their players and motivate. 📈

Nobody claps until we are done.

No scoreboard. No parents in the stands. No highlight clip waiting at the end of the rep. Just a loaded bar, a coach who counts every inch, and a choice — empty the set, or save it for a game that’s still six weeks out.

The athletes who choose the first one are the ones who look different in October.

This is what a session at MAP actually looks like. Not the highlight. The work under it.

Nobody claps for the reps that build you.

There’s no crowd during early morning lifts. No highlight reel for the set you wanted to skip. Nobody filming the day you showed up tired and did the work anyway.

But that’s the day that shows up later — in the fourth quarter, in the last inning, in the moment everyone else starts fading.

The work is quiet. The results aren’t.

Same time tomorrow. 💪

Motivation is a mood.

It shows up when it feels like it and disappears the second things get hard. You can't build anything on top of that.

Standards don't work that way. A standard doesn't care that you're tired, or that it's raining, or that the season is still months out. It asks one question: did you do the work or didn't you?

Set one. Then keep it on the days you don't feel a thing.

That's the whole secret. There isn't a better one. 🔒
