With the year coming to a close, and in the spirit of #thankfulthursday, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our incredibly talented and selfless photographers who have helped us out this year! From weekly website shoots, to Classic Barker social media campaigns, to fundraisers and events coverage, and last minute calendar studio projects - we truly cannot do what we do without the help of these wonderful humans. The clouds are rolling in and there's a 100% chance of cuteness! Say hello to the Cloud Puppies: Cirrostratus, Nimbostratus, and Altostratus. These cuties were rescued from Mexico along with their mom Stratus, a longhaired Doxie mix, who is also currently available for adoption through TBL. The middle sister was actually adopted shortly after these photos were taken, but sister Cirrostratus (left) and brother Altostratus (right) are still available and ready to follow suit! They are already taking on mom's sweet, outgoing, amiable, and happy-go-lucky personality. Brother Altostratus is more docile and snuggly, while his sister Cirrostratus is more outgoing and adventurous. Given their young age, the Cloud Puppies will be able to assimilate easily into a home with young children and other animals. Come bring one home and you'll be on cloud nine! Happy #transformationtuesday from Crinolin and Cordell! They are 2 out of 7 pups we rescued from a bad animal hoarding situation a few weeks ago. Crinolin (the small white female Maltipoo) was so matted it was hard to tell what gender she was, and Cordell (the dark gray male Tibetan Terrier) resembled more of a dirty mop than a dog. Some of you may recall the Facebook video we posted of them a couple of weeks ago that showed their horribly matted coats in detail. They were the first ones to visit the groomers, who had never seen anything like it before. After they received a complete shave and a good bath each, they're both looking like a million bucks! Thank you to Doggie Dos by Terri in La Mesa for making them look and feel so much better, in time for their glamour shots this past weekend. Baby Cleo is a classic example of why you should never judge a book by its covers. Looking at that tiny little black puppy in the middle - what sort of breed(s) would you think she is? Well believe it or not, she's half Tibetan Terrier like her dad Leopold (pictured left), and half Pit like her mama Leona (pictured right)! Both parents have amazing temperaments, which little Cleo seems to have inherited. This sweet family of 3 is ready to find their forever people! Here's to ending BSL, and people passing judgement on dogs based purely on their breed and looks.
