Haven’t been able to run for 2 weeks now and never imagined I’d be the sort of person bothered by that. The break is thanks to PSC, the rare liver disease I’m running and fundraising to support. It’s a frustrating reminder of why this cause is so important to me.

This weekend I completed my first ever half marathon.

It was one of the most challenging things I’ve done and also one of the most rewarding.

So I’ve decided to take it a step further.

On November 1st, I’ll be running the Barfoot & Thompson Runaway Auckland Marathon presented by ASICS to raise money for Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). A rare liver disease that I live with.

There’s no cure. It’s unpredictable. And it’s something I don’t talk about enough.

So this is me doing something about it.

I’ll be sharing more about PSC as I train over the coming months, it’s something I’m still learning about every day.
