This wedding was a difficult one to photograph/edit. My feelings were feeling. Life is short. And it can be so beautiful. I’m so honored to have been able to document Myra and Marcelino’s special day. They have been together for over 30 years and finally decided to tie the knot right in their backyard. I am so happy for them, and for their entire family. Big thank you to @jnizzy for reaching out to me and setting this up. We went to college together years ago, and I’m so glad that we have continued to keep in touch.

It speaks volumes of the type of people you are when you decide to get married with 1 weeks notice and those around you drop everything they’re doing in their busy lives to help you plan your wedding and be there on your special day. We all did it because we know you’re the type of people who would do the same for us.

Ninong Gigi & Tita Myra, since I was a little kid, I’ve always looked up to you for your warmth and generosity. I’m so thankful to have grown up with such loving and caring people in my life like you both. Thank you for always being there for me and spoiling me rotten when I was little. I will forever remember our trips to Toysrus and to get ice cream. I felt like the luckiest kid in the world to have an uncle and aunt like you guys. You filled family parties and get-togethers with so much light and love. I hope today was everything you dreamed of and more. Congratulations on your wedding day. Happy that this day has FINALLY come!
