Pineapple, through a Cariño lens.

Tepache brings fermentation and acidity, coconut lends richness, while anise and hyssop carry the course into a fresh, aromatic finish. A dessert built to close the tasting menu with brightness, without sacrificing complexity.

An unforgettable night at Cariño for 𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗢𝗦 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗦 with Chef John Shields of MICHELIN three-starred @smythchicago.

Guests were locked in from the first course to the last. From Smyth’s beautiful oyster course to both teams working side by side so seamlessly throughout service, the energy in the room was incredible all night long.

Most importantly, the evening helped support the mission of Latinos Progresando @latinospro and the work they continue to do for the community. A big THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for such a special dinner.

Love is also discovery. The excitement of sourcing an obscure tequila no one else is pouring, and translating it into a cocktail that tells a new story this season.

some photos that remind me of happy moments.

this year brings to mind a quote: day by day nothing changes but when i look back everything is different.

this year has brought me immense growth. i have always been restless, traumatically hypervigilant to say the least (aka ambitious); but this year i learned to enjoy the moment and the beautiful souls around me. i spent the entire year away from home. started the year in india and ended in small town germany. ive watched my friends move on from college and start building beautiful lives. i learned how to build a home wherever i go. it feels like a trial run for what’s to come. adulthood is coming so fast.

even with a genocide ongoing, and war seemingly everywhere, with the fear and stress of my home being destroyed, i have still managed to stay centered (in some way). but it feels like some cosmic cruel test of endurance sometimes. i have lost hope in our governments but not in my generation.

there is not enough room to picture everyone, but to those who took part in my life this year i am so grateful, thank you. this year taught me that i thrive with community.

2024 will be a year of intention, relationships, and creation over consumption.
