“Family” This piece explores the struggle between emotional closeness and distance within a family, leading to overwhelm and emotional numbness. In contrast, friendships offer warmth and connection, while unresolved tension remains within the family. —————————————————————— I’m ever so thankful to have had the opportunity to be part of this beautiful and emotionally in depth piece created by a truly talented soul, @mirto.salati . Spending the past few months training together with amazing dancers and truthfully, straining my energy levels on some days, every minute and sweat spent on this project was absolutely fun and worth it. -Snippets of my first dance theatre- This piece explores the struggle between emotional closeness and distance within a family, leading to overwhelm and emotional numbness. In contrast, friendships offer warmth and connection, while unresolved tension remains within the family. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Wow what a journey these last few months have been. Choreographing my first dance theatre has been one of the best but also one of the hardest experiences I’ve ever made. There were so many moments where I felt stressed and overwhelmed. I’m incredibly grateful for my friends, who supported me through every high and low during this journey. I’m immensly proud of how this piece has turned out! A big thank goes to @marapeyer and @leanardon , who mentored me and gave me the opportunity to perform on this stage!! @tellastoryswitzerland Thank you @dancegallery_effretikon and @chibustudio for giving us a space to train.
