{ Part 3 } mentorship -
Through my VET ministry certificate in 2017 I learned what a mentor is and the principle of having one. But it was not until 2019 that I really realised the value of having someone who has gone before us, has such a solid foundation and wisdom, to then really realise the need to have one in life. The value of mentorship has sunken in to my core, and I am so blessed to have had Joanna for half my DCLS year who has inspired me, challenged me, prompted deep thought/reflection, and simply made me feel so loved and understood. I cannot thank you enough for your care and support.

One of my favorite things about coming back to LA each year is seeing young people that were in my youth ministry back in the day now as grown adults!! Ministry is the long game. You plant, you sow, you plant, you sow. And every once in a while you get to personally see the fruit!! Just fills my heart so much! !

Terrible quality but I just had to capture this sweet moment with one of the most genuine people I know. Joanna is intentional about making the little moments count.
Tonight at alter call, she stepped down to pray with a young mother that she didn't know. I watched as the woman and her precious daughter both teared up. Thanks for being the hands and feet of Jesus, always. It's an honor to know you, Jo...to see your heart and be your friend. I'm proud of the woman that you are, as are so many others.
Love you!
