📣Warm up- leave plenty of time to warm up at the venue! Helps to get your body and mind in “ready mode” before the comp starts and adjust to the court surface.

This weekend we held our annual winter club tournament “The Carol Firth Cup” in memory of our fabulous team mate, team captain and friend, Carol Firth who lost her battle with breast cancer a few months ago.

It was epic on every level. Thanks to all the volunteers that stepped up to deliver this amazing event, and for everyone support in the fundraising for Carol’s charity.

Medalists at this years event

🥇🏆 Angie/Serhii
🥈Jules/James
🥉Kim/Sheky

We are really proud of this club and how it continually delivers amazing stuff. Well done everyone. See you at the next one!!

🏓 MY 1st WOMEN’S ONLY PICKLEBALL CAMP TRIAL – A SMASHING SUCCESS! 💪🎉

Last week I trialled hosting my very first Women’s Only Pickleball Camp over on the stunning island of Crete… and wow – what an incredible few days on and off the court, even if the weather did provide us with some challenges! 🔥 From fierce rallies to shared laughs, the energy, focus, and support from all the players was next level, and has allowed me to learn a lot about delivering this type of experience.

I brought some of my oldest friends together with some of my newest pickleball playing friends and tested the delivery of a multi day programme of drills, coached matchplay and competition as well as creating a space where we could connect, grow in confidence, and be part of a community that lifts each other up. 💬💥

I was nervous going into this, mixing groups of friends in an alien environment and delivering to a range of abilities and experiences.

I had to adapt the programme on the fly, I had to face non-pickleball related issues, I had to determine new processes, determine what kit to take, how to handle food provision, room sharing and more, and working through them logically, ensuring everyone got out of the trip what they expected and needed. Now that we are back I am confident in saying that the effort that went into it was absolutely worth it, and this is just the beginning.

More camps are coming, and if you missed out this time, i’m really sorry I couldn’t extend the invite to more people, but hope you will come along to one in the future.

✨ Benefits of joining:
✅ Focused coaching in a supportive, empowering space
✅ Skill-building tailored to all levels
✅ Real connection with like-minded women
✅ A confidence boost both on and off the court

Big love to everyone who joined me for this one, your support and patience whilst I worked through everything thrown at me was very much appreciated. I hope your expectations were surpassed.

Stay tuned – i’ll be announcing future dates soon! As well as mixed gender stuff 💜

Thanks @markweaverpadeltennis for allowing us to trial an evening under the stars 🌟 and floodlights at Hove Beach Park this week.

Well done to the 6 people who taped and set up 4 pickleball courts in under an hour 👊🏼🙏 allowed a 2 hour pickleball pop up social tournament to go ahead. Our first time out under the floodlights.

20 players
4 courts
200m of tape
40 matches

Congratulation Serhii. 2nd club tournament 👊🏼 🏆2nd win under your belt!

🔈VOLUME ON!

DINK Brighton headed outdoors for the first time in its relatively short life on Sunday.

It might have taken 80 minutes and 61 metres of tape for 3 of us to tape the courts but it was worth it in the end! Fantastic trial! Thank you @markweaverpadeltennis for enabling it to happen! 🙏

Epic venue
Fabulous team running it
Lovely courts
Shelter from the harsh onshore winds

Hope to do it again soon!
