HEADLESS is out!

Eternally grateful to share this project with the world. It has been a long time coming and one of those projects that changes you as a musician, an artist, even as a person. I’ve been a meditator on and off for nearly half my life, but I feel like only in the last few years, have experiences from the practice totally changed the way I view the world and myself as part of it. One of the concepts that really stuck with me was “headlessness” or noticing the void where you think your head is and experiencing it instead as a space for the world to exist. Sounds very trippy, but in practice it’s actually a very pragmatic way to, for lack of better words “get out of your own head”. This music was sort of an experimentation of trying to put these experiences into songs. I hope you enjoy. It was certainly a journey of great joy to create.

There are so many people I want to thank and I will in another post- but massive, gigantic gratitude to Joao @softglas and Joan @joan_snaps for sticking with the kind of insane, esoteric themes as we brought them to life visually. We created this trailer (short film?)for the album (which is essentially a remix of the proceeding songs intended as a prelude) while weaving in footage we’ve shot over the last year and a half.

HEADLESS IS OUT WOOOOO!!!

Announcing HEADLESS - my latest album - due in July 19. Beyond excited to share this 16 song collection complete with an opening overture of sorts, and wild visuals created with @softglas and @joan_snaps

This album has been a long time in the making, as it’s far beyond a random collection of songs, but a cohesive project inspired by concepts and reflections from meditation and general mindfulness. (More on that later).
