The Moko Jumbie is something far greater than any one individual.Ego has no place in this calling. The height strips away the identity one carries and reminds them that they are a part of something much bigger than themselves. On stilts, We are not above others, but in service to them.

Masquerade Of Traditions 🇹🇹

Costume Designed and Portrayed by: Adrian Young @thegoldenmoko

The Golden Moko, a captivating character in the vibrant tapestry of Trinidadian culture, stands tall as a stilt walker adorned in a resplendent costume symbolizing unity among the diverse people of the nation. His golden attire intricately weaves together the hues of Trinidad's multicultural heritage, featuring elements inspired by the traditions of various ethnic groups. The Golden Moko's majestic presence and inclusive costume serve as a powerful visual metaphor, embodying the spirit of togetherness and celebrating the harmonious coexistence of Trinidad's diverse communities.

4 year old Arya Gray progress update with @daddyjumbie The Golden Moko ✨

From her very first step to now… the growth is something special to witness.

Arya is progressing beyond expectations. In the midst of distractions, her focus stays locked in calm, steady, and determined. That kind of discipline at her age is not taught easily… it’s something rooted deep.

Each session, she steps with more confidence, more control, more understanding of the art.

This journey is unfolding beautifully, and Future Jumbies is honored to continue guiding her along the way. ❤️‍🔥

My intention is to teach the youths about Trinidad and Tobago🇹🇹 Moko Jumbie history through the Lens of Daddy Jumbie who has almost 30 years of stilts experience.

Standing tall ain’t just about height… is about who lift us.

This generation must learn to respect and be grateful to the living ancestors , the elders, the guides, the ones still here pouring knowledge into us every day.

Although we honor who gone, we must value who here.

Because without them, we couldn’t stand so strong, so proud.

Respect the roots. Give thanks while they can still feel it.

4 year old Arya Gray 1 hour Training with @daddyjumbie The Golden Moko

Her very first time on stilts… just 4 years old, and already stepping with a courage that made me proud to witness. ❤️‍🔥✨

She was attentive, focused, eager and ready before she even got on. And when she did, she didn’t hesitate… she embraced it.

Watching her reminded me why we do this. She left smiling, wanting more and I’m proud to say I’ll be right here guiding her as she grows on this journey. 💛
