I spent so long just trying to survive that I almost forgot what it felt like to be excited about being alive. 🎶🔥

The late nights in the studio. The songs that come out of nowhere. The moments when a lyric hits differently because you’ve actually lived it.

The butterflies before a shoot. The ideas that keep you up at night. The feeling of creating something that didn’t exist in the world yesterday.

This is the part I never want to take for granted.

I used to dream about a life where I could create freely, follow what lights me up, and feel that kind of fire again.

And now? I’m building it, one song, one crazy idea, one leap of faith at a time.

I don’t have it all figured out. I just know I want to keep saying yes to the things that make me feel most alive.

Because life is too short to only exist.

90 Days.

Joanna is 5'1", unarmed, and completely non-threatening. She bent down to try to get through a small hole in the chain link fence. The guard was well over 6 feet tall, fully armed and not in the least danger by Joanna's attempted breech.

Was it really necessary to walk up to her and pepper spray her right in the face?

He could easily have blocked her with his body and told her to get back. He could have at least warned her that he would use pepper spray if she kept going, but he didn't say a word. He just walked up and sprayed her.

If you've never been pepper sprayed, according to Joanna it feels like you've been doused with gasoline and lit on fire. She spent the next 4 hours in serious pain unable to open her eyes at the medical station and another 5 hours at the ER to make sure there wasn't any serious damage.

It was excruciatingly painful for her and awful for me to watch my naive but sweet and innocent sister get violently attacked like that. It was completely unnecessary.

As I thought about her suffering throughout the day, I saw horrible images in my head of the dogs we are trying to save who endure chemicals being tested on them, poured down their throats, rubbed into their eyes and burning their skin. The thought of these poor creatures being forced to endure such terrible treatment is almost more than I can bear.

How can humans do these kinds of things to dogs and not feel pain themselves? How can they do this to any animal without having the last bit of compassion? How could they do this to my sister without any remorse or apology?

As he and his fellow guards stood on the opposite side of the fence watching her writhe in pain without having so much as a word of compassion towards her, I felt the horror of being in the presence of people who can turn their humanity off and their hearts stone cold in order to do a job and follow orders; orders given by the Sheriff Calvin Barrett who is determined to defend this awful business despite their violence towards animals. He's willing to harm animals and humans to protect corporate power and money.

I'm stunned and broken hearted that we live in a society that allows such injustices.

Hello everyone,
At 11:59 PM, Friday night, Mom/Terri went to be with the Lord.

She fought a hard 2 year battle with cancer and stayed as strong and faithful as anyone I've ever seen.

I know we'll all miss her immensely, but I hope that everyone can take solace in knowing that her pain and suffering is finally over, and that she is with the Lord in paradise, and her body has been made perfect 🙏

I'd like to thank everyone who's helped and comforted her these last 6 months.

We Love You, Mom ❤️
