Last night I had an amazing experience as I went to a NEWSBOYS and Jordan Janzen concert. I really felt moved by the experience and felt God spoke right to me. The NEWSBOYS told us about an organization helping kids in Africa to break free from poverty. The NEWSBOYS are sponsoring a little boy, Mateo and one of the lead singers Adam Agee and his family have also been sponsoring 2 kids. He told us the story of how just cutting down the amount of tv channels you watch can save enough money to help out. When the ladies came around with the panflets of each kid, I thought, “Realistically, I’m 17 years old, I’m not gonna put money towards some kid across the world, who doesn’t even know who I am, let alone set aside a whole $40 a month, when I could be using that on something I want.” But then it hit me, isn’t that what God calls us to do? To help those in need, without an expectation of receiving something in return? So, I immediately raised my hand for a brochure, about to receive my sponsee. The lady looking for people to pass them out saw me and handed me the paper. I knew that this was God speaking to me and what proved that even more was when I looked down at my kid on the paper. I read the front page and I started tearing up from how amazing God is; My sponsee, Dilan is 10 years old, and has the exact same birthday as me. I was in fascination as I saw how amazing God’s plan is. He really has a plan for everything and it all lines up perfectly. Because of me signing up for this organization, I won backstage passes for my whole crew. We got to meet the NEWSBOYS and get pictures with them after the show. Along with the NEWSBOYS, we also got to meet Jordan Janzen and his band as we walked out of the Warsaw Highschool. They signed my NEWSBOYS shirt for me :) Join me in helping these kids out of poverty at https://www.children.org/join/event/artist/newsboys. #newsboys #childreninternational
