Last night I had the absolute pleasure of supporting one of the most special people in my life as she was awarded ‘Life Membership’ of the Massage and Myotherapy Association. ✨ I met Jo as a 15 year old - I was on my first Australian Swim Team & Jo was already a much loved, experienced massage therapist on the team. She loved & looked after all of us both with her magic hands & her kind heart so when I moved to Melbourne as a 19 year old knowing no one, Jo & her family pretty much adopted me - she has been a core part of my life ever since 🥰 Jo has travelled the world working on the bodies of the worlds best athletes, covering 4 Olympics, a Paralympics, Wheelchair Rugby, the Aus Open, Cricket, The Kookaburras & more always bringing a maternal level of care & concern for all of her people. She is Mama Jo Jo to so many. 🫶 To see her recognised by the association she has been a part of for 45 years, make a beautiful speech & be congratulated by her colleagues was incredibly special - Jo has been a part of most of the milestone moments in my life, it was emotional to be her supporter for one of hers 🥹 [ID] Giaan & Jo embracing & smiling at the camera in the event space. About last night... First time back at work as MC for the @colessupermarkets Supplier Awards and thankfully no embarrassing 'Baby Brain' moments to report!
