Not to alarm you, but it’s just two months until the Christmas slowdown starts and minds turn to 2027. 🫣

Do you want more sales? More partnerships? More opportunities? Whatever your ambitions for next year, now’s the time to start making a plan.

At Art MOT, we help artists take stock of where they are, get clear on where they want to go, and work out how to get there.

We’re now taking enquiries for January and February sessions. Want to make 2027 your year? Let’s talk.

Destination unknown? 🧭

Making great art is one thing. Knowing where you want it to take you is another.

Whether you’re looking to build your audience, develop new relationships, increase sales or take your practice in a new direction, a little clarity goes a long way.

We’ve put together five questions to help you take stock of where you are and think about where you want to go next.

Save this for later - or share it with an artist who might find it useful. 🩷

Exit through the gift shop? Why, when you can enter through it? 🛍️

For artists, merch can be much more than a way to make a little extra money.

Done well, it can open up new creative possibilities, introduce your work to new audiences and strengthen your artistic identity.

The trick? Don’t just think about what you can put your art on. Think about what you can create.

Because the gift shop doesn’t have to be where the art ends.

What’s the best piece of art merch you’ve ever seen?

Your daily reminder - Art Is Not A Crime ✊

A few days in Amsterdam working on the launch of @straatmuseum & @suso33 ‘s brilliant new exhibition, celebrating the legendary street art archive of @henrychalfant

Forever grateful that our work takes us to some extraordinary places, and brings us into contact with some extraordinary people.

Huge congratulations to @marion.straat, the entire STRAAT team and everyone involved in bringing this incredible exhibition to life. 💗

A very special day at @straatmuseum ✨

With the legendary @henrychalfant for the press launch of Art is Not a Crime - a major new exhibition tracing the history, culture and creative force of graffiti.

Henry’s photographs helped document a movement as it was happening, preserving an extraordinary chapter of New York’s cultural history and helping take graffiti from the streets to a global audience.

An absolute privilege to spend time with him - and very proud to be working with @jobrookspr and STRAAT on this one.

Every new business needs a serious founders portrait.

Here’s ours, taken at the Venice Biennale back in May. Thanks to our dear friend, Miles Aldridge!

We’ve been completely bowled over by the response to Art MOT this week. Thank you to everyone who’s followed, shared, messaged us – and especially to all the artists who’ve got in touch to find out more. 🩷

We’re working hard to get back to everybody, and we’re hugely excited about what comes next.

So, how’s the art career going? 👀

Maybe things are moving, but you’re not quite sure where they’re going. Maybe you’ve hit a sticking point. Or maybe you just need someone outside your practice to help you see the bigger picture.

That’s what an Art MOT is for.

We spend a half day with you getting under the skin of your art career – what’s working, what isn’t, where you want to go and what might help you get there.

Afterwards, we turn it all into your personalised Art MOT Roadmap, with clear priorities and actions for the next 12 months.

Every Art MOT is different. Because every artist is different.

Find out more at artmot.co.uk or drop us a DM.

Introducing Art MOT. 🎨

Over the years, we’ve worked with many artists at different stages of their careers. One thing we’ve noticed is that, even when things are going well, it can be hard to work out what to do next.

Which opportunities are worth pursuing? What should you be saying yes to – and no to? Where should you be investing your time and money? And how do you make sure the work you actually want to make doesn’t get lost in everything else?

That’s why we created Art MOT.

It’s a chance to step back from the day-to-day and take a proper look at your practice and career with two independent, experienced art world insiders.

We’ll do our homework beforehand, then spend three hours together talking through where you are, where you want to get to, and what might make the biggest difference. Afterwards, we’ll turn it all into your own 12-month Art MOT Roadmap, with practical actions and next steps.

We’re so excited to finally have this out in the world. Take a look at artmot.co.uk to find out more – or DM us if you think your art career could benefit from an MOT.
