In 2018, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF was reimagined in a striking production, in Yiddish, giving new poignancy to the classic. In that production, three incredible performers met and bonded over an affinity for Yiddish golden age music. With that, a new trio, The Mamales, was born! At our concert, this dynamic trio performed their take on the classic “Abi Gezunt,” meaning “as long as you’re healthy,” a perfect wish for the new year. You can catch The Mamales this Sunday night at @citywinerynyc, and we want you to be there! We’re giving away a pair of tickets to the show - just comment and tag a friend that you’d like to go with. Winner will be contacted by Thursday. Ticket link is in bio.

Musicians: @sethrudetsky, @coreyschutzer, @mattwongguitar, & Damien Bassman.

@themamales were a big hit during my talk in Israel. People commented that they really love your Yiddish accent. If you ever travel to the Holy Land you will have a lot of fans. 😄 Love being sent your way from Jerusalem

🎶 TICKET GIVEAWAY! 🎶

Yiddish favorites, Broadway classics, Barbra Streisand, Barry Sisters arrangements and even a popular ‘80s song in Yinglish? Say less.

Meet The Mamales, a dynamic trio who first met while performing in the Yiddish production of Fiddler on the Roof at the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene and bonded over a shared love of Golden Age music, Yiddish culture and, naturally, pickles. 🥒🎤

On Sunday, Oct. 25, The Mamales take the stage at @CityWineryNYC for a show that’s for all Jews - and non-Jews who use “schlep” in their day-to-day vocabulary.

And we’re giving away a pair of tickets to the show! 🎟️🎟️

“New York Sings Yiddish” at Central Park’s Summer Stage was a wonderful mischpoke reunion! 15 year old Yosef Kogan brought people to their feet playing the violin so brilliantly! So much talent on that stage! And they put the Buffalo Bills game on the big screen as they were striking the stage at the end!

Gesher Galicia is so happy to see that many more people will experience the joy of watching The Mamales perform. We will be sending a delegation there as we never want to miss an opportunity to see their talent live and closeup.

This is a celebration of our culture that refuses to die.
