Welcome to the cypher! Inside this container, we will explore the movement of Hip-Hop culture(s). We will create our own styles rooted in the lineage of Hip-Hop and Black/African and Latinx culture(s). We will learn styles and steps we can use dancing socially. We will develop rhythm through games and warmups. We will explore body isolations. We will learn choreography. We might freestyle! And most importantly, we will find the groove by dancing with the vibrant sounds and stories of hip-hop music.

Seeing ‘Midge’ finally come to life on stage still seems unbelievable to me. In January I said ‘this year I’m getting my play produced and I think I’m going to direct it’ and… that exact thing happened. 🤯🤯

Thank you to @theatrerevolution @gabyplaywright and @matznora for amplifying women’s voices. I was honored to be among such talented and inspiring film and theatre makers. More of that please!!!!

Thank you to @amadei_yoga for your generous and insightful fight choreography without which ‘Midge’ would’ve been lost and not nearly as funny and @riettic for building the infamous and most spectacular door. ❤️

And thank you to my incredibly talented actors @zion__green and Terri Janson. You brought my words to life in a way I could only have dreamed of. We created something to be proud of together and for that I’m eternally grateful. Keep. Going. ❤️❤️

Can’t believe we’re at the end of tech week! I’m beyond lucky to have Theresa Janson and @zion__green bringing my words to life. Directing such talent makes my job easy. 🤩🤩

Friday is sold out but there are a few tix left for Sat & Sun performances! And don’t forget about the film blocks all day long. So many talented women bringing their art to the Hudson Valley.

Glass Ceiling Breakers Festival has been an incredible experience. Thank you @theatrerevolution @gabyplaywright @matznora and @amadei_yoga for everything you’ve done. I’m so grateful.

Hope to see you at the show!!
