‼️Tourney Recap‼️ @elitekayakfishing event #1 on Cayuga Lake in New York. One of the finger lakes. Despite my finish, 60th place out of 109 anglers, I can’t wait to go back to Cayuga. It’s an amazing fishery. With only one day to prefish a lake that is almost 40 miles long, up to 3 miles at its widest and over 46,000 acres of surface area, it’s a little tough to figure out what the fish are doing and do well. When I put 2 decent bass on the board within minutes of the start of the tournament, I thought maybe I can do ok. Unfortunately those 2 bass would be it for over 5 hours. I covered A LOT of water looking for the same structure that I caught those fish on but never found it. I was only able to get 2 more smaller bass and never did get a limit. It was a tough day but I learned a lot about the lake. Next time will be different. In the words of Mr @jigsandbigs @bobbyroastbeef. “A shitty day of catching can be saved by the company you’re with.” This was so true this weekend. I got to hang out with my man @shawnthefisherman , @massreelfishing , @abaylure Chris and Christina, and a few others telling stories, so many laughs and great food. 🦫🍔 I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE! Next stop, Lake Champlain. I LOVE THAT PLACE. See you there! Be sure to support these great companies! Hooksethoodlums.com @hookset.hoodlums for awesome fishing apparel and more.
