Nobody knows when you’re down and out @ericclapton
Arrangement by the great @joe_robinson

Got inspired and motivated by @euangilesmusic and @steven_rkid to finally start practising with a thumb-pick. They’re amazing, check them out.

Took 1st place today at Tennessee valley Fiddlers convention in the fingerpicking category. With this win I’ve taken 1st in 2 weekends back to back. Glory to God! Time to get back to that process!

The Story of WILD LION BLUES | Wie Joe Robinson mich 2009 inspirierte

THE STORY OF WILD LION BLUES

Release: 25.09.2026

Thanks, @joe_robinson
Robinson for the inspiration – and for allowing me to use a short excerpt of „Strutting It“. 🙏

Sometimes you just happen to be in the right place at the right time… 🎸⚡️

We had an AMAZING visit with Josh, Paul, and the crew at @musicvilla in Bozeman, MT yesterday, hanging out, talking guitars and introducing them to the Westerlund ONE which will be available very soon at @musicvilla.

The incredible @joe_robinson happened to be in the shop, plugged into the ONE and absolutely TORE IT UP. 🔥

Huge thanks to Joe for checking it out and to Josh and everyone at Music Villa for such an awesome afternoon and for welcoming Westerlund! We love Montana!!

Once upon a time I was a proper finger picker. Those days have come and gone but this cat daddy Tony Rice @santacruzguitar acoustic on loan from @jbarlow12345 made me break out the thumb pick again. Here’s a @joe_robinson diddy. It’s a little sloppy but I’ll still give it a C+. #acousticguitar #fingerpicking #travispicking

As a part of the Fingerpicking Legacy Project I was also talking with my hero @tommyemmanuelcgp about the @joe_robinson 's arrangement of the jazz standard Misty. Find out more on my YouTube channel @franolivingston
Couldn't be more happier and grateful to join Living in the Light tour across the Europe in November!
