Home is a feeling…

@theyardmuaythai

Little known fact: I grew up spending a lot of time at the train yard in Grafton, WV. My dad was a break man for CSX, which was once the old B&O Railroad. His dad was also a train worker. Great father in the coal mines.

Always found it ironic that I spent my childhood at the train yard, then the better part of my adult life was spent at “The Yard” Muay Thai gym. Def not a coincidence…

Where do you set your bar??

I wasted so much of my life because I was afraid!
We don't know anything till' we are tested in the fire 🔥

It's not just the moments you're training, it's what are you doing on the outside too?

Keep raising your bar 👊🏼

Far to often we point to the reasons as why it's too difficult, impossible and why we'll never make it. All those things may be valid and true, but what can we be doing right now to get better, what do we have control over? Start there. There is always something thay we can be doing, even if that is just adjusting our perspective on the situation. Take control of things you do have control over and let go of that which you do not.

Every person on this earth has reasons and justifications to quit, only unifying difference between those that make and those that don't is their refusal to give up, to keep moving forward and to progress regardless of limitations, set back, failures and excuses.

Never give up 👊🏼

What's holding you back today, what excuses are you giving yourself?

Exactly 15 years ago from today, I had a great opportunity fighting for a US championship in Las Vegas which I didn't win. I was scared, thought I wasn't ready for the title, and I was thinking that there will be ANOTHER CHANCE.
It gave me a great lesson in life, there's always only one chance and no such thing as NEXT TIME. You gotta do when you gotta do, or it'll always leave you a bigger scar forever.

"So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide. Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and grovel to none. When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision. When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.”-Tecumseh
