With it being almost the end of the year means that the 20th anniversary of Infamous is coming to a official close. Tens of thousands of photos, enough stickers to cover a football field, hundreds of shirts, flyers, banners and whatever else that came to my head. It blows my mind how long that I have been in the scene for (I was around for years before taking the infamous name in 2005). Sud Skates was so much more than just a skate shop. Sud Skates was an empire that made the Niagara skate scene and community what it is today! It brought people together and put Niagara skating on the map! And even though the building may be gone, the impact they had on peoples lives will live on forever! We are so thankful to be located behind where they were and thanks to Downtown Skateboards, we now have an incredible piece for the shop wall! This means a lot to us and to everybody! Please guys, hit up @downtown_skateboards and grab one of these Sud O Rama boards and get one quick! Thank you Downtown and thank you Sud Skates!

To say this building played a part in the history of the Niagara skate scene is an understatement. Originally opening in 1988 on Bond st, Sud skates introduced skateboarding to St. Catharines with being the first skater owned skate shop in the area. 2 years later in 1990 they relocated to 26 St. Paul Crescent for a bigger shop space, better location, and to build one of the only indoor skate parks around! Over the next 23 years it remained in that location, being a core skate shop hosting demos/ party’s/ contests/ and events year after year, and at the same time being a breeding ground and home for many generations of local skaters. Thank you @joe_sud and Deb Wing for everything you have done for us. The friendships and memory’s will last a lifetime. We wanted to do something special for this graphic so we teamed up with @janajosephine todo the graphic drawing, and our dude @bradhasadeathwish who absolutely killed it with all the sticker artwork!

From capturing photos of a young @pierreandresenizergues skating in Vancouver when I was 15, to now working with this living legend for so many years, it has been a true blessing. As their brand expanded, so did our distribution, carrying their stable of brands like @etnies, @esfootwear, @emerica, @thirtytwo, @altamont, and let’s not forget Sheep. As of today it’s been 23 years on the board, no years off, and I’m beyond thankful for my journey and grateful I still have my legs & ambition & drive to skate as much as I can at the age of (almost) 35. My Oma took me to Sud to buy me my first complete one week before my birthday in 2000. My parents were hesitant to let me start skating because of the risks involved but my Oma who had lived through WW2, rode motorcycles, and used to do ski jumping back in Germany in her youth- she thought it was ok and wanted to see me having fun and getting to explore, adventure and have fun. I had no idea at the time what I was getting myself into, but I’m very fortunate to have met amazing friends that feel like family along the way, huge shoutout to Joe & Deb Wing, and the whole Sud family, the OG downtown skateboards familia, all the west coast homies, the Barbados gang, Dave at Nonexistent and Phil George from Shred Enterprises. Many thanks to everyone that has encouraged me on the journey and thanks to everyone for all the amazing times, let’s keep the good times rolling ❤️🛹 skateboarding is for life.

A BLAST FROM THE PAST Tonight I am printing something that I don't think has been printed in 20 years. We had some great times and even though we are older and grayer most of us have kept in touch. I found my old DD elite desired details tee shirt (in a size I no longer fit in) with the cutter I was able to bring back the old logo for old times sake. I've been part of other clubs through the years but the DD is still the o.g. family. Anyone I tagged if you have some of the original crew on here tag them up
