“the reason is unclear, but somehow I’m still here.” today, October 6th, my debut EP is finally out 💙 it’s been a long time coming.

But Somehow I’m Still Here
produced and mixed by @markaguilar_music
mastered by @joeamadio of @moonlightaudiocbus
additional engineering from @dvdakile and @nofoxgivenn
the incredible instrumentalists and background vocalists featured: @nkv.music @elijahzink @ethanzink3 @laurentuckermusic @caroline.guske @elyssasilverman and of course, @markaguilar_music

there are so many people to thank with this release. my first pass thank you to Mark alone was essentially an entire post’s worth so needless to say, a wonderfully sentimental post is heading your way soon with an extended list of thank yous to everyone who made this project possible. every musician and producer and musical peers and mentors and especially to the friends and family who have seen me through this wildly bizarre decade of my life wrestling with all the ups and downs of physical, mental, and emotional health that is at the heart of this project.

I love you all so dearly.

I hope these songs help you as much as much as they’ve helped me.

if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the last decade, it’s that there is a reason you are here. unsure of how you made it? unsure of why? that’s okay. let the reason be unclear. you are still here.

so let yourself be. let yourself live.

and always keep trying.

love,
lizzie

“Things Between Leaving” is the new EP from Talitha Boyd, and I had the pleasure of putting a ton of work into 4 of the 5 songs (shoutout to @sam.dimitrius for his awesome work on “How You Know You Feel”)

Here are some of my favorite moments across the whole record 🙂

Talitha Boyd - written by, acoustic guitar, vocals

James Harker - engineered, produced, mixed; piano, guitar, mellotron, bass guitar, synthesizers, saxophone, additional vocals

Joe Amadio - drums, percussion, drum production; mastering

Jenson Thompson - pedal steel, mandolin

Carson Geissler - violins

🌙 Song Feature

One of two recent singles by Matthew Morgan that we worked on - “Sky Full of Sunshine” was a super fun Laurel-canyon-1970s-style project; Lots of open improv-type playing, weird guitar tunings, and old-fashioned analog gear involved. Thanks Matt for having us once again!

Written by Matthew Morgan

James Harker - engineer, producer, arrangement, acoustic guitar, flute, piano, bass, synths, mellotron

Joe Amadio - drums, percussion, mixing, mastering
