Please join us Sunday, August 9th at 3 pm for our next Community Concert at Calvary: Pianist Joseph Bush! From Joseph's heart-stopping classical performances to his brilliant and toe-tapping renditions of modern favorites - it will be a unforgettable afternoon with an extremely talented and engaging musician.

This intimate event will be held in our Ferguson Fellowship Hall, please enter through our doors at 120 South Street. It is FREE and open to all!

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
In December 2016 he debuted with the South bend symphony playing Prokofiev’s 3rd Piano concerto. In 2018 Bush was featured in the Howland Chamber Music Circle concert accompanying cellist Daniel Frankhuizen and soprano Rachel Hall, and playing solo works.

In 2020 he won second place in the National Association of Negro Musicians (NANM) New York, regional competition. In January 2023 Bush premiered the trio “Rosas for Rosi” by Colombian composer Paola Marquez, at the Marc A. Scorca Hall at the National Opera Center. Also in 2023 Bush participated in the historic production of composer Margaret Bond's work “Simon Bore The Cross” in Atlanta GA. Bush recently performed Florence Price’s Concerto in One Movement with members of the Detroit Opera House.

Bush’s background in classical music performance combined with his gospel church roots result in unique interpretations and an original sound.

Joseph is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in music under the tutelage of Irma Vallecillo. He received his Masters in piano performance from Indiana University studying under Alexander Toradze as a part of the Toradze Piano Studio.

Joseph Bush is the Artist in Residence at Calvary. He is a wonderfully talented and charismatic performer, teacher, accompanist, and choir director.

🎶✨ GrantForesight was honored to attend Community Concerts @ Calvary featuring Organist Jacob Friedman and the St. James’ Episcopal Church Choir. Events like these beautifully reflect one of our core pillars: Community Well-Being.

Community well-being is the overall health, happiness, connection, and quality of life experienced by the people within a community. It is strengthened when residents have access to spaces that inspire joy, culture, peace, and togetherness.

This afternoon’s concert was more than music. It was healing, unity, and shared experience. The arts have the power to reduce stress, uplift spirits, bridge generations, and bring neighbors together in meaningful ways. 🎼🤍

GrantForesight proudly supports opportunities that nurture the soul and strengthen the heartbeat of our community.

At GrantForesight, our pillars aren’t just ideas — they’re lived experiences.

This week, we witnessed educational equity through shared wisdom, environmental sustainability through learning how to use the plants and vegetables that are plentiful right under our noses, and community well-being through care, connection, and collective nourishment.

Sometimes the answers we’re looking for are already growing around us.

🎶 Won’t you be my neighbor?
This is what community looks like.

✨2025✨ So many firsts this year! First time recording my own album, first year signed with @uiatalent, first time breaking a bone (lol), first time a childhood best friend has gotten married (and first time being MOH! I love you @danihonigkast), first time visiting Madrid, first time recording for @disneyonbroadway at @powerstationatberkleenyc, first time getting bangs as an adult (and probably last let’s be honest), and first few months of a new decade.

Life is messy and strange but also wild and exhilarating and I am just so grateful to be out here doing what I love with the best people!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR 🥂
